The challenge
If you want to do it yourself, you go to B&Q. And if you want to work somewhere you can be yourself, you go to B&Q. But a lot of organisations use similar messaging, even ones without B&Q’s unique track record of initiatives and support. They asked us to show colleagues and candidates what it meant to belong at B&Q in a way that would stand out.
The strategy
We needed to capture employees’ unique stories. But to stand out we needed to find an angle our audience could connect to. We identified core content themes, championed the emotion behind each amazing story and created a consistent cinematic style to tie them together as a series.
The solution
Five unique stories told in a cinematic way. We heard from real colleagues in their real homes and workplaces about what it means to feel truly supported. Emotional voice overs, candid close ups and a documentary feel meant our films made a mark and worked as the centrepiece of our go to market strategy.
